About this tool

Smart Data Redactor scans the text of your PDF for personal information and removes it in one go. It recognises names after titles (นาย, นาง, นางสาว, Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr), email addresses, Thai and international phone numbers, Thai ID numbers (checksum-verified), card numbers and IBANs, bank account numbers, and Thai addresses ending in a postcode.

Matches are burned in with the same true-redaction method as Redact PDF: affected pages are rebuilt from an image, so the underlying text is gone. Turn on Preview only to see the list of what was found before redacting.

Detection is based on patterns and simple rules, not an AI model, and runs entirely in your browser so personal data never leaves your device. It can miss unusual formats or mark harmless text, so always review the result — that is why this tool is labelled beta.

Does it use AI?

No. It uses carefully tuned patterns and checksums, which keeps it fast, predictable and private.

Will it catch every name?

Only names that follow a title such as นาย or Mr. Use Find and Redact to add specific names.

Does it work on scans?

Only on PDFs with a text layer. Run OCR PDF first for scanned pages.
