Frequently asked questions
Is Mofumi PDF really free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limits. Your device's memory is the only limit.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Files are opened and processed by your browser on your own device. We have no server that receives files — you can check the network tab in your browser's developer tools.
What does “Connect Mofumi” share?
Nothing unless you sign in with LINE. Once connected, PDF Reader sends the text of every page of the PDFs you open, plus your reading progress, to your own Mofumi account so you can ask Mofumi about them. The file itself is never uploaded, and every other tool still runs only on your device.
Is there a file size limit?
Each tool accepts up to 100 files or 500 MB at once by default. Very large files depend on your device's memory; phones may struggle above 200 MB.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. Install the app (or just keep the page cached) and every tool you've used once keeps working without internet.
Which browsers are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile.
Can it open password-protected PDFs?
Yes — when a file is encrypted you'll be asked for its password. The password is used only in that tab and never stored.
Why is the first run of some tools slow?
Some tools need a large engine (for example OCR language data). It is downloaded once on first use, then cached so later runs are fast and work offline.
Does it support Thai?
Yes. The interface is available in Thai, generated text uses the Sarabun font, and OCR can read Thai.
