Change Text Color
BetaRecolour the text of a PDF without converting it to images.
About this tool
Change Text Color rewrites the colour of real text in your PDF — for example to make faint grey text black for printing, or to turn black text dark blue. Shapes, lines and images keep their original colours.
Choose “All text” or “Only dark text” to recolour black and near-black text while leaving coloured headings and links alone.
The tool edits the page drawing instructions directly, so the result stays sharp, searchable and small. It is in beta: text inside embedded objects (form XObjects), Type 3 fonts or scanned images is not changed — the report tells you when that happens.

Frequently asked questions
Why didn't some text change?
It may be inside an embedded object or be part of an image. Scanned pages have no real text — use OCR first.
Are shapes recoloured too?
No, only text drawing operations are changed.
Is the file rasterised?
No, everything stays vector.
