Invert Colors
Turn PDFs into dark mode — white pages become black and text becomes light.
About this tool
Invert Colors creates a dark-mode copy of a PDF for comfortable reading at night or on OLED screens. “Smart” mode flips only the lightness, so coloured charts and photos keep recognisable hues; “Full” mode is a classic negative.
Pick a dark background tint instead of pure black, a resolution, and which pages to convert. Pages you don't select are kept unchanged.
Pages are rendered and inverted in your browser, then rebuilt as images. That means the text in inverted pages is no longer selectable or searchable — run OCR PDF afterwards if you need that.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the text no longer selectable?
Inversion works on rendered pixels, so pages become images. Use OCR PDF to add a text layer back.
Will photos look strange?
Smart mode keeps their colours recognisable; Full mode turns them into negatives.
Does it make the file bigger?
Usually, because pages become images. Lower the resolution for smaller files.
