PDF to Markdown
Convert PDF text into clean Markdown with headings, lists and paragraphs.
About this tool
PDF to Markdown extracts the text of your PDF and structures it as Markdown. Larger text becomes # headings, bullet and numbered lists are recognised, wrapped lines are joined into proper paragraphs, hyphenated words are repaired and repeating headers, footers and page numbers are removed.
Markdown is perfect for note apps like Obsidian and Notion, for documentation sites, for Git repositories and as clean input for ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools that work better with structured text than with raw PDF dumps.
Choose how page breaks appear: a horizontal rule, an invisible HTML comment or nothing at all. Everything is processed in your browser.
