About this tool
PDF to Word rebuilds your document as an editable .docx file. It reads the text layer, joins wrapped lines back into paragraphs, recognises headings from font size, detects bullet and numbered lists and keeps bold text, then writes a clean Word document you can edit in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice or Pages.
Choose Exact mode instead when appearance matters more than editing: every page is placed into Word as a high-quality image, so the layout is identical. You can also add page images after the text in flowing mode.
This converter is in beta and focuses on text-heavy documents such as letters, reports and contracts. Complex layouts with columns and tables may need some tidying. Conversion runs in your browser, so the document stays private.

Frequently asked questions
Will the layout be exactly the same?
Editable mode keeps text, headings and lists but simplifies layout. Exact mode keeps the look but pages are images.
My scanned PDF converts to an empty document.
Scans have no text layer. Run OCR PDF first, then convert to Word.
Does it handle Thai?
Yes. Thai text is kept as real text; wrapped Thai lines are joined without extra spaces.
