About this tool

Compare PDFs shows what changed between two versions of a document. View them side by side with synchronised scrolling, lay one over the other to see every visual difference highlighted, or compare the text word by word with additions and deletions marked.

The overlay view renders both pages and highlights every pixel that differs in the colour you choose, so moved logos, changed numbers and shifted lines stand out immediately. Blink mode switches between the two versions so your eye catches the change.

A summary lists the pages whose text differs, so you can jump straight to them. Both files are processed only in your browser — ideal for contracts and other confidential documents.

Frequently asked questions

Does text comparison work on scans?

Scans have no text layer. Run OCR PDF on both files first, or use the overlay view, which compares the images directly.

Does it work with Thai text?

Yes. Thai is split into words with the browser's word segmenter so changes are shown word by word.

What if pages were inserted?

Pages are compared by position, so an inserted page makes the following pages show as changed. Remove or add the page first with Organize PDF for a cleaner comparison.
