Annotation Exporter
Export comments, highlights and notes from a PDF to CSV, JSON or Markdown.
About this tool
Annotation Exporter collects every comment, sticky note, highlight, underline, strike-out, free-text box, stamp and drawing in a PDF and lists them with page number, type, author, date and colour.
For highlights and other text markup it also recovers the text you marked, by matching the highlighted area with the words on the page — so you get your reading notes, not just “Highlight on page 4”.
Export as CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, JSON for scripts, or Markdown grouped by page for Obsidian, Notion and study notes. The PDF never leaves your browser.
