Rasterize PDF
Flatten every page into an image so the PDF looks identical everywhere and can't be edited.
About this tool
Rasterize PDF renders each page into a picture and builds a new PDF from those pictures. Fonts, layers, form fields, annotations and transparency are all burnt into the image, so the document prints and displays the same on every device and printer.
It's also a quick way to make content harder to copy or edit, to fix files with broken fonts that print badly, or to strip hidden layers and objects. Choose the DPI and JPEG quality to balance sharpness and size.
Note that rasterized text is no longer selectable or searchable — run OCR PDF afterwards if you need a text layer. All processing is done in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Is rasterizing the same as redaction?
Rasterizing removes hidden text layers on the pages, but to black out information use Redact PDF, which burns the boxes in safely.
Will the file get bigger?
Text-only PDFs usually grow; scanned PDFs often shrink. Lower DPI or quality for smaller files.
Can I make it searchable again?
Yes — run OCR PDF on the result.
