PDF to SVG
BetaConvert PDF pages to SVG — an exact image with selectable text, or real vector paths.
About this tool
SVG is the vector image format of the web and of design tools such as Illustrator, Inkscape and Figma. PDF to SVG offers two modes. Hybrid embeds the rendered page as an image and places a selectable, searchable text layer on top, so the SVG looks exactly like the PDF.
Vector mode rebuilds the page from its drawing instructions: lines, shapes and curves become real SVG paths with their colours and stroke widths, and text becomes live SVG text. It stays sharp at any zoom and can be edited shape by shape, but images, gradients and clipping are left out.
This tool is in beta: complex artwork may need touching up. Everything runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Which mode should I pick?
Hybrid when the SVG must look exactly like the PDF; Vector when you want to edit the shapes.
Why are images missing in vector mode?
Vector mode only converts drawing operations. Use Hybrid mode, or Extract Images to save pictures separately.
Are fonts embedded?
No. Text uses fonts installed on the viewer's system, so it may look slightly different from the PDF.
