About this tool

Watermarks added by office software or PDF editors are usually ordinary drawing commands on each page. Batch Watermark Remover edits those commands directly: it deletes text that contains your match word (for example DRAFT, even when split into pieces), watermark artifacts written by Acrobat and Word, and watermark annotations. The rest of the page — text, images, links — stays exactly as it was.

Process up to 50 files in one go. Turn on Preview only to see how many watermark items would be removed per page before you download anything. An optional heuristic also removes an image that appears on every page, which catches logo-style watermarks.

This tool is in beta. Watermarks that are part of a scanned image, or that use embedded CID fonts (common for non-Latin text), can't be matched this way. Only remove watermarks from documents you're entitled to modify.

Frequently asked questions

Why wasn't my watermark removed?

It may be part of an image (a scan), use a font with 2-byte character codes, or contain different text. Try the “repeated image” option or check the exact wording.

Will it delete real text that contains the word?

Yes, if a sentence contains the match text, that text run is removed too. Use a distinctive phrase and check with Preview only.

Are the files uploaded?

No. All files are processed in your browser.
